SUMMER DANCE! Classes in dance technique, music theory, art history, stage management, costume design, and health education Exploration, exercise, and excitement oh my!... Embark on a magical journey of movement, fun, excitement, and dance with Benicia Ballet Theatre’s Summer Programs. BBT offers a summer program for young children and an advanced summer intensive for our teens to adult dancers, concluding with a summer collaboration production with Live Music accompaniment.
Summer Programs at BBT are dependent on partial funding from financial grants. Recent years have been funded in part by grants from the City of Benicia under its Arts and Culture Commission. The BACC recognizes BBT's strong program, which offers to the local community the opportunity to explore dance as an art form.
BBT is proud to offer a professionally stage program for all community members that may not otherwise have the opportunity to view such a performance arts program. Tickets are free. Donations are appreciated.

SUMMER CAMP & WORKSHOP
As part of its Outreach Program, Benicia Ballet Theatre offers a yearly two-week Summer Dance Workshop and Production.
It's not just ballet! BBT's summer programs explore all dance styles with a focus on proper technique and dancer health, including anatomy and nutrition. Participants also explore topics such as dance history, art history, stage management, costume design and music as well.
Each two week program ends in a performance opportunity for the dancer and a free performance to attend for the community at large. These performances also collaborate with local musicians who accompany the dancers with live music. It is truly a unique experience for the Workshop participants.
Summer programs have traditionally been offered the last two weeks of July with the final Saturday date as a performance date. Program details are made public in each Spring. The community performance is typically held on a Saturday at the end of July or early August.
Registrations for the Workshop will be taken until classes are full.
